About the Role
Triton Caulking and Waterproofing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Waterproofing Sales Manager to join our team. This multifaceted role involves finding new job opportunities, performing take-offs and estimates, producing and submitting proposals, following up and closing sales, creating and maintaining client relationships, and successfully passing the job along to the operations team. The ideal candidate will focus on mid- and high-rise commercial construction as well as high-end luxury home construction projects.
Responsibilities Summary:
Identify and pursue new job opportunities in the commercial and high-end residential construction sectors.
Conduct accurate take-offs and estimates for waterproofing projects.
Produce and submit comprehensive proposals to potential clients.
Follow up on proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
Collaborate with operations staff to ensure smooth project handover and execution.
Attend and actively participate in a minimum of three networking agencies to expand the company's presence and opportunities within the industry.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope of work, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
Prepares Bid packages, take offs, and estimates to clients.
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and communicated.
Coordinate all Architect and Engineer designs, review both Architect's and Engineer's plans for adequate details of good quality and conduct design review meetings.
Ensure building code compliance.
Visit job sites as needed to ensure project progression is meeting company standards.
Budget and Cost Management:
Prepare project budgets and forecasts, monitor project costs, and track expenses to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions to maximize project profitability.
Client Communication and Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary/secondary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests throughout the project lifecycle.
Establish and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness to client needs.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, and RFIs.
Generate progress reports, project updates, and other communications to stakeholders to keep them informed of project status.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and incorporate feedback into future projects.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction estimating, sales, and project management, preferably in the waterproofing or related industry.
Strong understanding of mid- and high-rise commercial construction and high-end luxury home construction.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to perform detailed take-offs and produce accurate estimates.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Strong project management skills, results-driven, with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel in Southeast Florida 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field.
Established network within the construction industry in Southeast Florida.
Proficiency in construction estimating software and CRM tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam).
Salary Range:
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, with multiple commission opportunities including bonuses on sales targets, new client referral bonus, completion bonuses, client retention and milestone bonus and much more. Earning potential has no limit!
